Polycystic Fibrosis Ovaries

EMERGENCY FLOOR perdition: the vicious circle ...

Here is a text to ponder the magnitude of the situation and the urgency to meet soils which are the basis of all life on our planet. But contrary to what Daniel Nahon, transgenic plants will never be the solution!

The BRF, agroforestry, trees, mushrooms and not plowing yes fungi provide solutions much more economical, fast and natural.

is up to us to adapt to our environment and not vice versa! Let symbiotic with the elements that surround us, not playing God.

Christiane Galus, correspondent of the World tells us in the newspaper dated June 23, 2008 it is urgent to save the soil and this, through Nahon, a professor of geochemistry at the University Aix-en-Provence.
"soils are exhausted. We are on the brink of the abyss, and if this continues, there will be famines."
And Daniel Nahon to enumerate the causes pollution, pesticides, frenzied urbanization, erosion, deforestation. The litany is long and durable. "Almost a quarter of the usable land in the world, in fact, are already degraded," writes Christiane Galus.

How will we be tomorrow to feed 9 billion land at the dawn of 2050? Faced with what he calls "a real illiteracy, lack of knowledge of the structure and functioning of the soil" Nahon decided to write a book published by Odile Jacob, entitled:
depletion of the earth, the challenge of the XXI century . For it is true, as Christian Valentin, research director at the IRD (Research Institute for Development) , written by Christiane Galus, that "land degradation affects all regions the world ", especially the Sahel and the mountains of Southeast Asia. Without forgetting our beautiful country of France where one learns that "urbanization - cities and roads - alone causes the disappearance of 60 000 hectares of good arable land per year."
The awareness is recent. A scientific consortium Sol was born in 2001, "it aims to make an inventory of land every ten years to observe their development. ... At the same time be made a mapping of soil quality should be completed in 2012. Because in the near future it will sequester carbon, filter water better and recycle waste. An approach that could lead to the rediscovery "of classical solutions to reserve land. Reduce pesticides, to leave behind the debris, studying the landscape for erosion according to relief ...". It does suffice? Not sure seems that Daniel Nahon, which revives a heated debate. He , "we can avoid the use of transgenic plants. Only to allow the crops on arid soil and salt, unfortunately more and more ".
Sonya Faure Liberation became interested in fight against desertification . She questioned Gnacadja , executive secretary of the Desertification Convention of the UN. Unlike the fight against global warming, the soil is not considered a global public good . "The land has a heritage dimension, national, cultural: the relationship we have with it is not the same from one country to another ... "said Luc Gnacadja." In Brussels, the fight against desertification is in development aid, while the warming and biodiversity are, themselves, Environment "added the head to the United Nations. For the scourge of desertification is not just Africans," Spain, Australia, the United States, are now very affected the deterioration of their soils and depletion of resources. "The conclusions of IPCC are clear: desertification exacerbates global warming and this in turn exacerbates desertification .
What then? Nicolas Hulot, who seek to mobilize consciences? as suggested in the interview. There are perhaps better: mount IPCC by 2009 but also get funds, partnerships in order to support the Convention against Desertification. The search looks complicated but indispensable.

Universe-Tree City field

Our beloved Tree and Landscape Association 32 (AP32 for short) in the Gers (Midi-Pyrenees) organizes meetings sympatic in Gascony on various topics concerning the tree

The first session opened by our friend Dominique Mansion the bloated faces, was a nice first. The second evening was on "Tree, biodiversity and culture" with two presentations on the role of the tree in agriculture. Sirven
Bruno (AP32) presented with the legendary simplicity, humor, poetry and his knowledge of land, place the tree in our rural landscapes but also urban with all the benefits and all the satisfactions that the trees give us.
Hedges, human creations, are known to harbor within them a diversity of living things, it required extensive scientific data that grows and evolves agroecology ? This is now done through a mammoth task on biodiversity of crops and auxiliaries in the trees and hedges on the farm made in part by Jean-Pierre Sarthou (entomologist, teacher and researcher at the National Education Supérieure Agronomique Toulouse said ENSAT ). jean pierre Sarthou came to make a presentation on research conducted with colleagues. Note that this is the biggest record in the world about it!
Very informative and very convincing, it really is time to plant trees, but not just any attention. Choose species adapted and diversified, also choose the next crop to be established!

We try to be worthy of our predecessors at the third session which concern the BFI and will be held Friday, June 27 Auch (Cuzin room) from 19h ...
See you there!

Lice In Front Of Head

World Day to Combat Desertification cons

The UN
''
Desertification is the greatest environmental challenge of our time''
.

"Desertification is a process of land degradation in arid, mostly, and causing desertification to non-desert land.

Desertification is the consequence of interactions between climate variations, particularly due to the greenhouse effect, and various human activities such as overgrazing and deforestation. With global warming, desertification has increased. Most continents are affected by this phenomenon but in arid that the consequences are most visible, as in Africa and Asia. In 2000, 70% of drylands are subject to desertification.

The consequences of desertification are numerous. It mostly affects biodiversity plant and may remove some herbs or food while causing economic difficulties for the countries concerned.

Desertification is a major obstacle to rural development and raising living standards of people in affected areas (CIRAD, 2008)

actions to fight against desertification are varied: the information and communication with local populations, soil protection, protection of biodiversity, diversification of agricultural activities, and of course reforestation. "

Day Loudunais countries in Locust ...

On Thursday, May 22 was held a day devoted to False Acacia Robinia says ... organized by the Community of Municipalities of the country Loudunais , the CRPF, the IDF in partnership with the NFB .

The locust is a species sometimes unpopular because of its invasive nature and exotic. However, this tree has many benefits for woodworking, to contribute to solutions to global warming, for honey, the pleasures of the mouth and RCW! In this context it took place in the forest Scévolles Surprisingly, at this very successful day. In fact, after scientific analysis of Belgium and Ukraine, it appears that the BRF of locust showed the best results!

The day ended with Montcontour along the beautiful Dive in the footsteps of the Sente Divine where bare soil is covered with RCW and are thus protected from the trampling addition, the herbs are well controlled. The panels are made of Acacia, wood rot, very real alternative to tropical timber issues.

Note, 7 and 8 June will take place Dives Buissonnières the festival organized in part by the Community's Common Country Loudun and the association Laet. It is the largest concentration of music and celebration green in France, come all!

A big thank you to Vincent Aguillon, organizer and host of the Feast of Acacia for its warm welcome. The 90 attendees were all received a paper on the RCW. Cheers aggradation in the country Loudun and long life to feel divine, its sources and precious magic!
